Cutting glass is not an exacting science. Please be aware that length and color variations do occur. We make every attempt with our existing recycled inventory to match all pieces for your order.

Options

Suppose you have selected the option to upload. In that case, we only accept SVG vector images or 300 dpi bitmaps or photographs at the desired size.

If you wish to submit your design for your gift and don’t know how to create it, we suggest you begin with this website to make your art for free.

To create more complex and exciting graphics, we highly recommend Affinity Designer. This low-cost, highly creative vector image creator is our go-to solution to create SVG files for making stencils.

Etching

We affix the stencil to the glassware and rub down the stencil edges to maintain the sharpest edge possible.

We sandblast the stencil to etch the image permanently into the glass.

Chemical etching is a very hazardous process. Therefore, we elected not to contaminate the planet or ourselves when using and disposing of the chemicals and supplies used in that process.

The stencil is removed, revealing the image. Then the glass is cleaned and inspected before additional processing.

Color or Black and White Photographic Image

The process we use to create an image on the surface of the glass requires the photograph to be 300 dots per inch (dpi) at the finished size. In addition, we defuse the picture’s edges to soften them, reducing the possibility of a hard line transition. See example.

Light Fixture

We use UL fixtures to build your 110-volt light fixtures.
